Cause for celebration!

This is my 100th post! While this in itself is a totally awesome thing even more awesome are a few others:

1. I am Rio de Janeiro with Max
2. We are a three minute walk from Copacabana beach
3. Food here is cheap and delicious
4. I am learning some Portuguese

Last year I thought I would try to learn a little Portuguese before Max and I left for Portugal. It didn't go to well and to date the only thing I can really say is "Nao falo Portugues"(I don't speak Portuguese). Fortunately for me Max speaks pretty well so listening to him I picked up on how things should be pronounced for example: "x" is "sh"(this is important). When we got to our hotel in Lisbon I read "PUXE" on the door and said, "Hey! Puxe! [remember: pronounced poo-she] I know what that means!" and charged the door.

You may have figured out by now that puxe means pull. Weird right?

Today we bought some delicious cookies. Tropical cookies because, we're in Brazil. They have coconut in them and cute little palm trees on the front– JUST LIKE THE PICTURE ON THE PACKAGE! That never happens!

I was about to tear the package open on our way out the store when I noticed something:

"Puxe! I know what that means!"
Now I really do.

It is nice to know that there is a place where cookies look like the package. May we all be so blessed as to discover such a cookie ourselves one day.

Bring me some! they are so so cute! sorry I hope you don't feel taken advantage of since I've demanded so many things from the land of Brazil.

Can you believe all this time I had no idea that's where Copacabana was (I bet you can)? My heart is now at peace.
